Remote control cars get revved up

THESE cars might be small, but they’re mighty quick.

Remote control cars running on nitro methane fuel and capable of reaching top speeds of 70kmh in 3.5 seconds will be in action at a new track at Bakers Creek near the AFL grounds this weekend.

The Remote Control Mackay and District Off-road Group will hold a test and tune and open day on Saturday, and its first race meeting on Sunday, both from 9am.

President Ben Anderson said the 1/8 scale buggies and truggies (three-wheelers) were fast and fun.
